What is ANZSCO and ANZSCO skill level?

The ANZSCO (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations) is a system used in Australia and New Zealand to classify occupations for various purposes, including immigration, job search, and statistical analysis. It provides a framework for organizing and grouping occupations based on their characteristics, such as skill level and type of work.

The ANZSCO system assigns a skill level to each occupation based on the qualifications, training, and experience typically required to perform the duties associated with the job. The skill levels are defined as follows:

Skill Level 1: Occupations at this level typically require a bachelor degree or higher qualification. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
Skill Level 2: Occupations at this level typically require an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience.
Skill Level 3: Occupations at this level typically require an AQF Certificate IV, an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or at least three years of relevant experience.
Skill Level 4: Occupations at this level typically require an AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience.
Skill Level 5: Occupations at this level typically require an AQF Certificate I, or compulsory secondary education, or short-term on-the-job training.
